Our Enterprise Architecture and Technology Transformation team is a driving force in the swift and strategic implementation of PMI's IT strategy. We ensure that technology decisions are not only future-proof but also optimized for maximum business value across all platforms. This empowers PMI to rapidly integrate and scale new categories, enhance Reduced Risk Products platforms, and foster agility in launches and services.

Your role will be crucial in making future-proof, business-centric technology decisions, enabling rapid category expansion, scaling Reduced Risk Products, and driving digital innovation for a driven edge.

As a Principal Enterprise Architect, you will shape the future of IT at PMI, driving innovation and transformation across all technology platforms. You will design and lead visionary IT target architectures and roadmaps that align with the company's purpose and goals.

• Strategic Leadership: as a Principal Enterprise Architect, your role is pivotal in guiding the strategic direction and vision for the organization's technology architecture, digital innovation, and IT strategy. Your responsibilities include re-architecting the system landscape to support the transformation of PMI into a multi-category organization, enabling agility and scalability.
• You will work closely with IT Technology Platform Leaders and Domain Architects to create a flexible and robust IT architecture that can adapt to new business challenges and opportunities. Your role will involve translating strategies from different regions, categories, and functions into a unified and progressive technology roadmap that supports strategic investments.
• Your leadership is crucial in setting the course for the future IT landscape and strategy, ensuring that PMI can quickly respond to market changes while maintaining a sustainable enterprise architecture.
• In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding and ensuring alignment on key technology transformation initiatives, playing a vital part in the decision-making process. You will lead the development of architecture, define a shared vision, collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence key partners, communicate how technology and architecture contribute value to the business. Simplified, your job will be to make sure that all major change efforts in the company are working towards the same goals, and that our technology plans are designed to support these efforts and show the benefits of investing in technology.
• Architecture Framework Management: You will help create and lead the enterprise architecture framework, ensuring it matches and supports the architecture community and IT goals. You will supervise setting standards for how to design, plan, and document the architecture, as well as making any rules or policies for how to deliver architecture work. Additionally, you will guide the implementation and the proper governance of architecture practices and guidelines.
• Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement: You will co-lead the architecture community of practice, fostering relationships that enhance IT architecture discussions, and provide expert advice to senior IT platform leaders and domain architects, as well as business partners.
• Team Leadership and Development: under the guidance of the Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will help build a high-performing team of IT professionals by providing leadership, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.

This role is a blend of strategic acumen, architectural expertise, and influential leadership, designed for someone who is passionate about driving technological excellence and innovation within the enterprise.

• Significant experience as an Enterprise Architect, with a track record of supporting strategic sophisticated transformations in large organizations.
• Engagement skills: ability to interact at the Director/VP level, with a strong grasp of business and technology strategy, architecture, and planning.
• Technical proficiency: Extensive knowledge in various architectural domains, including data technology, system integration, application modularization.
• Strong understanding of Consumer/Commercial and Operations domains.
• Proven Experience: familiarity with FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) and Life Sciences sectors is a plus.
• Skills: leadership, self-motivation, value orientation, excellent communication, critical thinking, consulting and partner management.
• Communication: proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Education: a university degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• Additional knowledge: familiarity with architecture industry standards and tools like TOGAF, PRINCE, ITIL, LeanIX is beneficial.
