We are now looking for an EMEA Director, Pricing Strategy & Enablement to join our team in Schaffhausen, Switzerland

The Director, Pricing Strategy & Enablement will work with the VP Commercial Operations EMEA to grow our company’s ability to build long-term, commercially resilient, and profitable relationships with clients. This is achieved by leveraging an in-depth understanding of B2B strategic pricing setting and principles, being perfectly aware of NPD processes, market maturity, and price positioning. This role will be critical to building a strong team of commercial pricing experts working closely with the lines of business and Pricing CoE to identify and harmonize pricing processes, ensure maximum profitability, and best market positioning.

MAIN DUTIES

The duties outlined below represent what the Director Pricing Strategy & Enablement will be involved with:

  • Lead EMEA pricing activities
    • Deep dive into Price Analysis outcomes of Pricing Intelligence tools
    • Highlight relevant Price leakages and propose corrective actions
    • Implement new pricing systems and advanced pricing science for more effective price establishment and proactive changes.
    • Coordinate collaboration with key internal stakeholders to maximize profitability and anticipate market changes.
    • Establish pricing processes that support:
      • Regular Pricing adjustment strategies
      • Pricing of new market solutions and offerings
      • Pricing models, including outcomes/contingent based, fixed fee, time and materials, risk/reward / managed services
      • Drive adoption of different pricing scenarios
    • Disseminate information regarding Pricing tools, reports, or metadata enhancements
    • Identify or monitor current and potential pricing opportunities
    • Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action
    • Manage timely flow of pricing intelligence information to users
    • Support key customers with pricing tenders/large contracts/price agreements
    • Support/educate sales teams in pricing understanding and negotiation
    • Assist BUs in the creation of price lists, discount matrixes, and escalation processes
  • Lead and manage the quote profitability and pricing admin teams
    • Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analyzing data
    • Identify best pricing systems/tools/AI for intelligent price management
    • Measure Price programs efficiency
    • Prioritize Pricing actions
    • Establish a culture of continuous improvement
    • Direct team activities in support of pricing goals
    • Drive adoption of pricing analytics and dashboards
    • Identify and champion high potential/high performing talent
  • Collaborate with VP Commercial Operations and EMEA Executive Staff
    • Create needed Pricing leading indicators
    • Engage with key stakeholders to understand business processes and trends
    • Develop Executive summary for LOB leaders and Executive staff
    • Contribute to related Pricing tools development supporting business and Profit improvement

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a commercial/pricing/analytical role
  • Knowledge of Business intelligence tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Leadership and resource management skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • In-depth understanding of Finance parameters with strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proven ability to motivate and coach people
