Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.What you need? The mindset of an athlete. Become part of this unique project and make motorsport history.This position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).Your missionContribute to the overall CFD processdevelopment in an F1 environmentHave an impact on how CFD technology is used bythe whole aerodynamic departmentImprove the CFD physical modelling to increase the accuracy of the predictionWork closely with external software providers on specific development projectsHelp us set future directions and trends in advanced CFD methodsWork in an agile software development teamYour profileMSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics or a related field with a strong focus on computational fluid dynamicsAt least 3 years of professional experience developing CFD Methods in OpenFOAMPrevious F1 experience will be considered a plusKnowledge of high-Reynolds flows physics and turbulence modellingKnowledge of C++ and Python programming languagesFamiliarity with software release, update and deployment techniquesExperience in parallel computing and high-performance computing (HPC)Familiarity with developing software in Linux environmentsHard-working, independent and reliableSelf-motivating, responsible and meticulousOpen to share a continuous learning culture within the teamPromote a collaborative, respectful and trusting work environment within the teamProficiency in English language skills.
