Kubernetes Engineer - Openshift, Linux - This is a long term contract opportunity requiring profound Openshift and Linux knowledge for our Basel based client in the financial sector.
Your tasks:
- Designing, deploying, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters within an OpenShift environment using GitOps practices
- Developing and implementing strategies for container orchestration, scaling, and management
- Supporting development teams in the adoption and efficient use of container technologies
- Utilizing shell scripting, Python, or Golang for automation and management tasks
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical challenges related to containerization
- Providing third-level support and design input for OpenShift and container-based solutions in an enterprise environment
Your experience/knowledge:
- Experience as a subject matter expert in Kubernetes
- Fluency with code management solutions, particularly GIT, and proficiency with CI/CD tools
- Openshift is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Bash, Python, and/or Golang for automation and scripting
- Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems administration
- Proven track record of providing third-level support and design input in an enterprise environment
- Language skills: English - fluent in written and spoken
- Very good communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset and focus on achieving common goals.
