Job Description:

Our client, a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry based in Lucerne, is looking for a Lab Technician Scientist in a QC Bioassay Lab.

Planned duration: 12 months

Extension: Recurring

The integrated Biologics Analytical Department provides support to the Biotechnology Department by performing release and stability testing of biological drug substances and supporting global outsourcing of analytics for biologics, followed by study and quality monitoring to guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements and internal guidelines. Furthermore, the department conducts raw-/starting material and in-process testing for biological drug substances.

Responsibilities:
  • Culturing of multiple human cell lines in vitro as CHO cells, T cells, B cells, and other cell lines.
  • Preparation of sterile culture media and buffers.
  • Performing mycoplasma assays and sterility checks for the cell lines.
  • Performing analytical method validation and method bridging in the laboratory.
  • Establishment of ELISA based techniques and method transfers to other laboratories.
  • Improvement of methods and troubleshooting around equipment and procedures.
  • Release and stability testing of biologics to determine relative potency according to cGMPs.
  • Documentation of activities in an electronic laboratory notebook according to cGMPs.
  • Supporting equipment maintenance and calibration activities.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Education as a laboratory technician EFZ or a scientific bachelor's degree.
  • Hands-on experience with ELISA based or cell culture techniques.
  • Work experience in a GMP laboratory.
  • Ability to communicate and document in English; communication skills in German is a plus.
  • Strong team player, demonstrating mutual respect.
