Discover the Role

The Client Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the Accounting & Tax team members on technical matters. He/She manages a portfolio of clients and ensures quality service delivery and strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality accounting, reporting, tax, and payroll related services to client companies with timeliness and efficiency
  2. Bookkeeping for Swiss client companies under CO or Swiss GAAP
  3. Preparation and review of periodic reporting and year-end closing including year-end adjustments for client companies, including consolidated client entity groups
  4. Preparation and review of financial statements and associated notes
  5. Preparation and review of simple tax returns and associated analysis
  6. Preparation and review of VAT returns and associated analysis
  7. Manage client relations for a portfolio of client entities under the supervision of SA
  8. Ensure high quality service delivery for all entities allocated
  9. Manage relationships with tax advisor, legal advisors, tax authorities and auditors
Key Requirements
  1. Accounting degree, or Swiss commercial school CFC or appropriate degree with relevant experience in performing complex accounting tasks
  2. 3 years working experience in client accounting with in-depth knowledge of Swiss accounting for financial, industrial or services companies (payroll included) and accounting systems, of the consolidation and reporting methods
  3. Fiduciary experience is preferred
  4. In-depth knowledge of Swiss accounting and tax specifics
  5. Proven experience in managing client relationships
  6. Fluent in German and English in word and writing. Knowledge of any other language is an advantage
  7. Proficient with Microsoft Office; DrTax, and WinEur accounting software
