Chief Accountant

On behalf of our client, an international company, we are seeking a:

1. Supervise and control all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, cash management, fixed assets, and inventory.
2. Manage an internal accounting team in Switzerland and coordinate with the shared services center based in Europe.
3. Coordinate month-end closing activities to ensure compliance with the group’s accounting and reporting deadlines.
4. Prepare statutory financial statements for entities based in Geneva and group reports.
5. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards (GAAP) and Swiss tax regulations, including the management of VAT and tax submissions.
6. Oversee cash flow forecasting and hedging processes.
7. Collaborate with internal and external auditors for interim and year-end audits.
8. Actively participate in the implementation of new accounting systems and continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency.

1. Proven experience in accounting, ideally in a multicultural and dynamic manufacturing environment.
2. Excellent command of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and Swiss tax laws.
3. Experience in team management and coordination with international shared services.
4. Strong skills in financial analysis and management, including the preparation of financial statements and cash management.
5. Proficiency in accounting and reporting tools and advanced Excel skills.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with internal teams and external partners.
7. Fluency in English and French.
