Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

For our Laboratory Weighing (LabTec) division, which is the world's leading manufacturer of laboratory balances, we are looking for the Greifensee location, METTLER TOLEDO's global operational headquarters, for an enthusiastic Head of Project Leadership 80-100% (all genders). Our employees develop, produce and market high-precision instruments to enable our customers to achieve the best possible outcomes in their demanding fields of application.

In this role, your responsibilities would include:

  • As the Head of Competence Center for Project Leadership, you lead and manage a team of 5 Project Managers ensuring project lifecycle management processes (PLM framework) are followed, and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in a cross-functional project setup and an international environment.
  • You develop, implement, and continuously improve project management methodologies, tools, and best practices based on METTLER TOLEDO frameworks to ensure consistent and efficient project execution across the organization.
  • You provide strategic guidance and support to project managers to ensure they have the necessary resources, training, and tools to deliver successful projects.
  • You ensure project performance metrics are established, monitored, and reported to senior management to enable informed decision-making.
  • You develop and maintain Laboratory Weighing project roadmap in alignment with different stakeholders from the Strategic Business Units and other cross-unit engineering and research & development business areas.

What You Need to Succeed

Following requirements are necessary for this role:

  • You hold a bachelor or master’s degree in a scientific, engineering or computer science discipline.
  • A PMP/IPMA Certification is a plus.
  • You have five or more years of experience as a Senior Project Manager in a mechatronics and/or software products development organization and ideally with line management experience preferably within an R&D organization.
  • You are experienced working in a matrix, and ideally international, environment.
  • You have strong analytical skills and strategic thinking abilities combined with excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • You are a strong team player with the ability to lead by example.
  • You have an open and effective communication style, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to interact with key stakeholders across levels.
  • You are fluent in English, both spoken and written; German language skills are a plus.
  • Experience in Azure DevOps and SAP is a plus.
