ASIC Validation Engineer

As a Validation Engineer, you will be a key player in the ASIC R&D team, developing and employing lab validation environments to enable successful development and production ramp-ups of MEMS microphone ASICs targeting the mobile market.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with design team to define validation plan to meet device specifications and system expectations
  • Work out validation/measurement concepts for mixed-signal MEMS microphone ASICs
  • Develop hardware and software for automated validation/measurement benches
  • Perform design, layout and assembly of validation PCBs
  • Develop Python automated environments
  • Develop scripts for automated measurements and post-processing
  • Exhaustively characterize ASICs to validate performance and robustness
  • Analyze results with design team and create validation reports
  • Support root cause analysis and failure analysis
  • Mentor Lab Engineers in US and Asia

POSITION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor or related industry
  • Able to work in a dynamic, high-pace environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in designing printed circuit boards, using EDA tools such as KiCad
  • Experience in measuring high-performance electronic circuits
  • Familiarity with IC micro-probing and physical failure analysis is a plus
  • Structured working style and good organizational skills
  • Strong team player, able to work independently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
