Job Description:

As the first overseas subsidiary of BYD group, our main focus is to provide European customers with new energy vehicles, rechargeable batteries, solar panels, energy storage systems and other new energy products, as well as related after-sales services.

About the role

The Marketing and PR Manager is responsible for building the brand and achieving our commercial goals in the Region of Responsibility by developing solid relations with Dealers and developing the tools and services needed.

The Marketing and PR Manager reports directly to the Country Manager and has a dotted line to the European Marketing Manager.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

  1. Definition of the Country Marketing Plan in line with business objectives and Global Marketing Strategic Guidelines.
  2. Plan and lead execution of National Events, conducting post-event analysis to understand the effectiveness of actions and feed insights internally.
  3. Supervise Dealer Plus marketing Plans and monitor execution from Dealer Plus Partners.
  4. Provide valuable inputs for the construction of the European Marketing Plan and monitor competitor activities (monthly installments, new campaigns, etc.).
  5. Develop and manage National advertising and PR campaigns in conjunction with the appointed agency.
  6. Take responsibility for the management of the marketing budget.
  7. Be the local point of reference for PR activities in the Country.
  8. Build relations with press, media, digital influencers, and ensure visibility of the brand and product stories.
  9. Be a brand ambassador and work always with the customer in mind.
  10. Actively engage and collaborate on any European event or activity as needed.

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

  1. University Degree in Marketing, Sales or commercial disciplines.
  2. Solid experience in the Automotive industry or Branded Retail Products.
  3. 5+ years experience in roles related to Marketing and PR management.
  4. Excellent knowledge of digital tools.
  5. Customer-oriented mindset.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Able to prioritize and work proactively with efficient time management skills.
  8. Resilient and open-minded.
  9. Results-oriented.
  10. Excellent English & Swedish/German language skills (Other European languages and/or Mandarin Chinese would be a plus).
