About the team you are joining

The Airline, Airport andSecurity OCS department provides the aviation industry with transformativeOperational and Compliance solutions helping to drive overall profitability andsustainability. With the AAS Department one of the main product groups providesolutions to airlines and other stakeholders to automate passenger immigrationcompliance, with over 500m passengers having their travel documentsautomatically verified using such Timatic Solutions.

As part of a broader industry initiative to improve passenger experience andenhance efficiency at the airport, the goal is to push all passengerimmigration and identity checks off airport, and enable passenger to sharetheir digital identity with airlines, airports and border control authoritiesin advance of travel. This will enable passengers in using facialbiometric processing to pass through all airport touch points and board theirflight without ever having to stop and show any documents.

Reporting to Assistant Director Timatic, the successful candidate will beresponsible for developing and launching solutions and broader program to drivethe adoption of Contactless Travel.

What your day would be like

Developing and executing a program to drive adoption of Contactless Travel, including strategic product management of solutions to support this goal;
Working closely with senior leaders in airlines, Contactless Travel providers and other strategic partners in designing and executing the program and solutions;
Liaising with the direct and broader IATA team to ensure alignment of product strategy with solutions, standards and advocacy goals across the organization;
Product development including the design, specification and new product development, launch and product management of solutions;
Develop and execute marketing and sales campaigns in conjunction with the marketing team ensuring adoption and commercial targets are achieved;
Provide timely financial and operational status reports and other relevant information. Representing the Airline, Airport and Security OCS department on industry working groups and at events.

We would love to hear from you if
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in innovation, product management, business development
  • Good understanding of the airline, airport, and air travel industry key issues and business economics
  • Experience in aviation passenger processing and facilitation would be an advantage
    Good understanding of identity management and the technologies supporting this transition
  • Expertise in product development, feature definition and development of innovative business models
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and expertise in stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of budgetary processes and financial projections
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
  • Strong leader, comfortable in managing multifunctional teams and external partners;
  • Comfortable in public speaking and influencing key stakeholders;

Travel Required: Y 5%
