Financial Director

Are you an experienced finance leader with a passion for driving growth in fast-paced SME environments, particularly within the consumer goods sector?

Do you have a proven ability to balance hands-on financial management with strategic oversight, guiding senior leadership with impactful insights and data-driven decisions?

Are you ready to take full ownership of a finance function, influencing the entire business from financial strategy to day-to-day operations in a rapidly expanding company?

MacGregor Black is proud to partner with a rapidly expanding SME consumer goods business, searching for a hands-on Financial Director. This is a full-time role based in Zurich.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the finance function, overseeing everything from strategy to financial reporting.
  • Provide direct financial insights to the board and senior leadership, influencing key business decisions.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support sustainable growth.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
  • Monitor and improve financial processes, controls, and KPIs to drive efficiency and profitability.

What are we looking for?

  • A strong track record in financial leadership, ideally within an SME environment.
  • A strong background in financial control and cash management
  • Must have experience in the consumer goods, retail, or FMCG sectors.
  • Must have a very hands-on approach, with the ability to manage both strategic and operational finance tasks.
  • Fluent German and English language skills (additional languages are a plus).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
