Job Description

As part of this role, the Client Service Director key responsibilities are outlined below:

Key Responsibilities
  1. Have full responsibility for one major client, including:
    1. Grow the business: turnover responsibility
    2. Implement client plan to meet client needs and sustain growth
    3. Develop a strong and solid client relationship, to turn opportunities into business.
  2. Understand the client's organization and navigate easily between the different teams and workstreams.
  3. Capture clearly the different internal and external challenges.
  4. Deliver a high level of consultancy:
    1. Understand the category and business dynamics.
    2. Consult with client to identify needs and shape most relevant learning plan
    3. Develop most appropriate research solutions leveraging up-to-date and innovative techniques
    4. Come up with precise and actionable recommendations
    5. Interface with other Ipsos expertise and dedicated teams in the Ipsos world to ultimately deliver a more holistic perspective to the client.
  5. Manage and coach a team of 2 to 3 people in Geneva.
Reports To
Head of Department.

Desired Skills And Experience
  1. Graduate of marketing, sociology, psychology, business or related fields
  2. Significant quantitative primary research experience [8 to 10 years] in a market research agency or related area (essential)
  3. Strong market analysis skills, ideally in FMCG, OTC or tobacco environment
  4. Strong expertise in leading multi-country projects, as more than 90% of projects are global
  5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  6. Excellent English skills, French / German is an advantage;
  7. Ability to deliver outstanding attention and services to the client;
  8. Multi-tasking; ability to work on different projects at different stages simultaneously, with remarkable organization skills.
  9. Open minded, curious, dynamic, enthusiastic.
  10. Undisputable collaborative spirit, strong team player.

About The Team
The Innovation Service Line guides clients throughout the innovation journey as they develop and launch new or improved products and services spanning a range of verticals. We help our clients develop the initial idea for a product/service, ensure the fully-articulated description of the product/service resonates with consumers, confirm that prototypes of the product/service properly deliver on consumer expectations, and finetune the full mix prior to launch. This is accomplished using best-in-class services, including idea screening, concept testing, product testing, price and line optimization, package testing and volumetric forecasting.
