The Position

Immerse yourself in the fascinating everyday working life at Roche Diagnostics surrounded by beautiful mountains, not far from the scenic Lake Zug and yet close to the cities of Zug, Zurich and Lucerne. Embark on a transformative learning experience with Roche Diagnostics through our Aligned Internship Program in Rotkreuz. Designed to nurture emerging talent, this program offers a dynamic and immersive opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of diagnostics, fostering personal and professional growth.

This internship position is located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland, hybrid (60% onsite).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support product data collection for Roche Diagnostics LCAs

  • Perform simplified carbon footprint calculations for various products and processes

  • Support instrument energy data collection program

Who You Are

You are enrolled or have completed your Bachelor or are enrolled in yourMaster’s studies at a university, preferably in the field of Environmental Science or Engineering after March 2024 and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship.

Furthermore you

  • Are experienced in using Google Sheets for data analysis and have the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Have applied knowledge in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and LCA databases (e.g. Ecoinvent).

  • Knowledgeable in programming (e.g. python) is an advantage but not a requirement.

  • Are a proactive team player who contributes to decisions about the project, but who can work independently.

  • Are a confident communicator with excellent English language skills and who is passionate about driving sustainability initiatives forward.

Technical details:

The start date for the internship is April 2025 (or upon availability) with a duration of 12 months.

Part-time employment is possible.

If required, it is possible to write a thesis during the internship.
