Job Title: IT Infrastructure & Service Desk Specialist
Overview: We are looking for an experienced IT Generalist with proficiency in German to join our successful clients' team in Zurich. Expertise in IT support, system administration, and PC hardware, along with German language proficiency will make one succeed in this role. It involves ensuring smooth IT operations, resolving technical issues efficiently, and providing high-quality end-user support in both English and German.
This in-house role is ideal for a versatile IT professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and values efficient, streamlined processes.
Commitments:
- Act as the first point of contact for IT-related incidents and service requests.
- Provide remote and on-site support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Administer and support Microsoft Server, Windows OS and Active Directory.
- Manage O365 administration, including user account setup, email security, and application troubleshooting.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain PC hardware, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, and accessories to ensure optimal performance and user productivity.
- Support VMware environments for virtualization and cloud integration.
- Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including switches, firewalls, and VPN connections.
- Maintain and update IT asset inventory, ensuring proper tracking of hardware and software.
- Create and update knowledge base articles and technical documentation for common issues and solutions.
- Work closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Provide IT training and guidance to end users as needed.
- Deliver support in both German and English, ensuring clear communication with end users and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Fluency in German (B2/C1 level) and English.
- Experience in a Service Desk or IT Support role, handling incidents and service requests.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Servers, Windows OS, O365, and Active Directory.
- Proficiency with configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining PC hardware: desktops, laptops, peripherals, and accessories to ensure optimal performance and user productivity.
- Familiarity with Group Policy management and networking fundamentals.
- Good understanding of Microsoft MCSE, MCSA, or VMware certifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and teamwork abilities.
