Senior Private Banker - Head of Turkish Market

Function: Senior Relationship Manager – Head of Turkish Market

Position and Location:

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Private Banker to lead our coverage of the Turkish Market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong network, a deep understanding of the Turkish economy and cultural nuances, as well as a proven track record in managing ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) and high-net-worth (HNW) clients. This strategic role demands exceptional relationship management skills, a business growth mindset, and the ability to thrive in a competitive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to expand the bank's presence in the Turkish private banking market.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of UHNW and HNW clients by delivering tailored wealth management solutions, including investments, credit, estate planning, and other offerings.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by understanding their unique needs and providing personalized advice.
  • Lead and mentor a team of private bankers focused on the Turkish market, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including investment specialists, credit advisors, and compliance teams, to ensure seamless client service.
  • Stay informed on economic, political, and regulatory developments in Turkey to provide insightful guidance to clients and the firm.
  • Represent the bank at industry events and engage with influential stakeholders within the Turkish market.

Profile and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in private banking, wealth management, or a related field, with a specific focus on the Turkish market.
  • Proven ability to acquire, develop, and retain UHNW and HNW clients.
  • Extensive network within Turkey’s financial, business, and UHNW communities.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products, including investments, credit, and structured solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Fluency in Turkish and English is required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP) are preferred.

  • Swiss residency is mandatory.
