In this role, you will oversee the operation, maintenance, and security of a critical data center environment. You will lead a team, ensure infrastructure reliability, and drive continuous improvements. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you'll implement strategies to support organizational goals while maintaining high standards of security and performance. Your expertise will ensure seamless data center operations on a global scale.Start Date: 04/08/2025Duration: 6 MonthsPlace of Work: Basel / Hybrid PossibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesOversee the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of data center components to ensure efficiency, security, and reliabilityDefine and enforce global data center standards, including cabling, labeling, and infrastructure proceduresAct as the primary contact point for all infrastructure-related issues at the site, coordinating with external service providers and internal teamsLead and manage a team responsible for data center operations and maintenance activitiesDevelop and implement strategic plans and roadmaps for data center infrastructure, considering capacity and future growthDesign and periodically test disaster recovery and business continuity plansManage lifecycle and associated risks of IT assets within the data center environmentPlan and execute data center expansions, migrations, and upgrades with risk assessments and capacity planningDrive automation, standardization, and process improvements across data center operationsEnsure compliance with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirementsMonitor data center performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtimeStay informed about emerging technologies and recommend innovations to enhance operationsCandidate ProfileExtensive knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systemsHands-on experience with VMware vSphere, Windows Server, Linux, storage, and backup solutionsStrong understanding of networking fundamentalsProven project management experience with data center expansions, migrations, and upgradesFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001Certifications like CDCP or CDCMP are advantageousExpertise in security best practices and infrastructure hardeningDemonstrated ability to simplify and standardize complex systemsSkilled in driving technological and organizational changeCapable of risk assessment and problem-solving in dynamic situationsExperience working within regulated industries, such as pharmaceuticals or healthcareExcellent communication skills, fluent in English, German language skills are a plus5-10+ years of relevant experience, preferably within large, multinational organizationsJob ID 41180983 #J-18808-Ljbffr
