This key role involves working closely with the Global Head of Media Relations to develop strong relationships with journalists and publications, ensuring the effective delivery of key messages across multiple platforms and channels. This is an exciting opportunity to shape brand identity and enhance corporate reputation in a dynamic, fast-paced international environment. As Media Relations Manager, you will: Develop and implement media, social media, and communication strategies aligned with the company’s business goals and brand positioning. Build and maintain strong relationships with reporters, editors, and media outlets to secure accurate and positive coverage. Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media kits, and other communication materials. Collaborate with commercial teams to tailor media and external communication approaches. Organize and manage media engagements, including press events, interviews, and industry summits. Monitor media coverage, track performance metrics, and provide insights and reports to senior management. Assist with crisis communications, responding promptly and effectively to media inquiries. Work closely with marketing, commercial, legal, finance, and HR teams to ensure messaging consistency. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging media platforms, and competitor activity to identify new engagement opportunities. Key Requirements: 5–10 years of experience in media relations, either in-house at a multinational or at a consultancy serving global clients. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Experience with social media platforms and media monitoring/analytics tools. Financial media relations expertise, including understanding company financial statements. Knowledge of the commodities or natural resources sector is advantageous but not essential. A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Native English proficiency; additional languages are a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a highly organized and collaborative working style.
