Gelato is committed to bridging the gap between current blockchain capabilities and its future potential, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and research.Responsibilities:Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain and operate Gelato's infrastructure in a multi-cloud environment.Incident Management & Reliability: Contribute to enhancing the incident management lifecycle to improve overall system reliability.Postmortem & DevOps Culture: Help develop Gelato’s Postmortem philosophy and further improve the DevOps culture within the team.Rollups-as-a-Service (RaaS): Deploy and maintain RaaS core components and related observability stacks.Infrastructure Modernization: Evaluate, modernize, and align the existing infrastructure and deployment strategies with the latest industry standards.CI/CD Pipeline: Maintain and enhance Gelato's CI/CD pipeline, ensuring streamlined deployment processes and governance.On-Call Rotation: Participate in the on-call rotation to provide operational support and ensure service availability.System Design & Scalability: Offer insights and recommendations on system design, focusing on reliability, security, and scalability, especially within the Web3 space.Cost Optimization: Explore and implement cost-effective, innovative solutions and support the adoption of industry standards.Requirements:Experience: At least 4 years of experience in maintaining Cloud infrastructure with modern technologies.Minimum 1 year of experience working with Web3-related infrastructure.Skills:Strong understanding of GitOps principles.Ability to lead and influence peers in decision-making processes.Expertise in operating infrastructure on major cloud providers (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure).Proficiency in Docker and containerized applications.Experience with Unix-based systems.Hands-on experience in managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters.Familiarity with Git, Helm, Terraform, Kubectl, and similar DevOps tools.Knowledge of networking, CDN, Gateways, and deployment strategies.Experience operating highly available infrastructure.Understanding of microservice-based architectures and their operations.Advanced debugging, logging, monitoring, and alerting experience using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Datadog.Strong capability in cost optimization solutions.Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Rust, PHP, TypeScript).Web3 Expertise: Understanding of Web3 technologies and their associated challenges, particularly in the context of Rollups-as-a-Service (RaaS).Learning & Growth: Eagerness to continually learn and grow professionally in the Web3 space.Fully Remote: Work with a globally distributed team, with colleagues across Zug, Paris, New York, London, Singapore, and more.Competitive Compensation: Receive a competitive salary along with a generous token package.
