Its turbogas fleet is already capable of burning between 40 and 70 per cent hydrogen, with the aim of reaching 100 per cent by 2030.PositionJoin our turbine development department within our gas turbine business in Baden (AG) and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products.Your tasksDevelop cooling systems for turbine parts (blades, vanes, heat shields)Prepare 3D thermal state analyses and analyses of the coolant consumption of cooled turbine partsSpecify laboratory or real engine tests for design and / or methods validationInterface and iterate with secondary flow and mechanical teams to optimize part lifetime and gas turbine performanceDevise tests and specifications for ensuring manufacturing qualitySupport the fleet for cooling systems for turbine partsDevelop cooling methods, processes and tools (e.g. film correlations for boundary layer film cooling modeling)Participate in reviews, technical decisions on cooling design layouts and expert groupsIssue cooling design, technology and validation reports as well as cold flow specificationsEnsure an adequate turbine parts cooling system quality within the manufacturing test and inspection planProvide technical dispositions for manufacturing non-conformance reports.RequirementsYour profileDegree in mechanical engineering or equivalentRelevant knowledge in cooling and heat transfer, thermodynamics or fluid mechanicsFamiliarity with measurement techniques and laboratory instrumentation on heat transfer advantageousBasic understanding of gas turbine technology, design and production development of turbine parts, component / engine testing, technology development, seals and secondary air flow, failure analysis, manufacturing technology as well as operation of thermal enginesIndustrial or research experience of at least 3 yearsFlexible team player with an open mind and good communication skillsTarget-oriented, quick and efficient individual with the ability to recognize and assume responsibilityGood technical, intellectual and analytical skillsInitiative, adaptability and intercultural competenceAvailability to travel 15% of the time, worldwideExcellent command of English, German is an advantage, further knowledge of Italian would be an asset.Other informationYour benefit with usParticipating in environmental sustainabilityChallenging workAttractive and exciting productsInteraction with international colleaguesFlexible working conditions.Video #J-18808-Ljbffr
