Assembly Integration & Test Technician – Space Products Location: Zürich (#LI-ONSITE, Ref. Nr. R0302672) Responsibilities Cleaning and preparation of components according to specifications. Perform mechanical integration tasks for space projects on components, sub‑assemblies, instruments and systems according to drawings and space industry requirements. Document that integration steps are performed according to procedure and maintain traceability records (e.g., historical records, As‑Run procedures, As‑Built component lists). Support the project team for the test campaign, particularly for handling hardware and mechanical activities. Provide technical support to the IVVQ Manager for integration activities, detailing integration steps and time needed. Support the Design Team, Technology Team and IVVQ Team to review hardware designs and ensure Design for Efficient Integration. Support incoming inspections of components and assemblies when needed. Pack hardware for storage and transportation. Manufacture mechanical components in the workshop according to design drawings (drilling, milling, machining) – experience in this area is a plus. Qualifications Educational degree in Space, Electronics or Electrical Engineering. Proven experience in opto‑mechanical assembly and test in the space industry or in a similar complex industry (e.g., defense, aerospace, watch industry). Independent, careful and structured work approach. Experience working in a clean‑room environment is a plus. Proficiency in English; German is a plus. Ability to work within international and interdisciplinary teams. Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to present ideas and listen to others in heterogeneous groups. Structured and methodical working method. Ability to proactively find solutions within the available timeframe and budget.
