Ml Ops Data Scientist

You contribute your experience to an international and geographically distributed team and interact daily with other architects, DevOps engineers, FinOps Engineers, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to ensure our FinOps activities are top notch. In our agile setup, you enable our Cloud platform and our internal DevOps teams at Swisscom to successfully master their FinOps practices. With your passion for Cloud FinOps, you will play a leading role in our team and take Swisscom to the next level. As "Shared Enabling and Platform Services", the shared service organization of Swisscom, we offer together with you AWS as a fully integrated and secure self-service platform to all Swisscom internal DevOps teams.

Responsibilities
  • Help build and expand the FinOps program at Swisscom
  • Assume responsibility for main FinOps initiatives in Swisscom and be the Expert other FinOps Engineers can rely on for guidance and expertise
  • Help further the FinOps network in Switzerland with contributing talks and organising meetups and conferences.
  • Trend scouting of new services and technologies
  • Build dashboards and reports to keep up-to-date with Cloud FinOps events

Skill Check: Are we a good match?

  • Deep knowledge of Cloud FinOps
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS services (such as the AWS Billing Console, CURs, and Quicksight)
  • Familiarity with implementation of FinOps Governance initiatives in large enterprises
  • You know how to build clear FinOps dashboards for different use cases, from C-Level to Data Scientist

What makes you stand out

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or similar field and you hold FinOps certifications
  • Tendency to continuously optimize and tweak service to constantly improve cost management
  • Software architecture background to be able to get involved in even technical discussions
  • You know AWS services well enough to understand not only what the best component for a certain goal is, but also what the best and cheapest component is
