The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. Your Tasks- Lead research projects for the next generation solid-state batteries.
- Methods development for physical and electrochemical characterization of battery materials.
- Establish academic and industrial collaborations in projects focused on battery materials.
- Publication of results in scientific journals and presentations at scientific meetings.
- Assistance to the group head in preparation and execution of research projects.
- Supervision of PhD students and postdocs.
- Assistance to the lab management, equipment, and infrastructure planning.
- Self-motivated team player able to work independently with prior experience in electrochemistry and battery research.
- PhD degree in chemistry, physics, materials science, or a related field.
- Good experience in battery materials analytical methods - operando techniques is an advantage.
- Successful funding acquisition (personal fellowships, research grants, collaborative projects, etc.).
- Background in synchrotron-based analytical methods is a plus.
- Good publication track record.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Very good command of English and basic knowledge of German is required.
