The Role
As a Managed Service Principal, you play a key role in growing Zühlke’s Managed Services business within the Insurance and Banking portfolio of clients and prospects. You are responsible for shaping and winning complex, multi-year Managed Service engagements, ensuring long-term value for our clients and driving recurring revenue growth.
You work closely with Key Account Managers, Account Teams, and Service Managers to define service offerings, structure contracts, and establish governance models that ensure high-quality, reliable services. You are a trusted advisor to our clients, positioning Zühlke as a strategic partner for digital transformation and service management.
Your Responsibilities
- Business Development – You actively identify, pursue, and close new Managed Service opportunities, working with Key Account Managers and New Business teams to build strong client relationships. You manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from discovery and proposal development to contract negotiation and deal closure.
- Growth Architect – You develop deep, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in Private & Retail Banks, Insurers, and Reinsurers, positioning Zühlke’s Managed Services as a strategic solution to their operational and regulatory challenges. You drive account expansion by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, ensuring sustainable recurring revenue growth.
- Value creation leader – You define Scope of Services, SLAs, governance models, and commercial terms that meet client needs while ensuring profitability. You lead the creation of compelling proposals and successfully negotiate contracts that form the foundation of long-term partnerships.
- Portfolio Steward – You provide high-level supervision of the delivery and continuous improvement of Managed Service engagements, acting as an escalation point when necessary. You support service teams in achieving key performance indicators, including agreed average project margin and utilisation of Managed Service specialists.
- Market Strategist – You contribute to the evolution of Managed Service offerings and go-to-market strategy, ensuring they align with the needs of the Insurance and Banking sectors. You help refine sales messaging, value propositions, and competitive positioning.

- Sales & Business Development Expertise – You have a proven track record in selling Application and Cloud Managed Service contracts. You are confident in engaging senior decision-makers and negotiating multi-year contracts as part of an account team. You excel at positioning Managed Services as a critical enabler of business success.
- Industry Knowledge & Network – You understand the operational and regulatory landscape of banks, insurers, and reinsurers. You have existing relationships and experience working with key industry players.
- Technical & Commercial Acumen – You have a solid understanding of IT service delivery, cloud platforms, and digital transformation in regulated industries. You can translate business needs into scalable, profitable Managed Services.
- Fluent in German and English – You can effectively communicate with both technical and business audiences.
- University Degree – You hold a degree in technology, business, or a related field.
