As the Associated-Director in the Compliance department, you will be in charge of the Investigation team. Reporting directly to the Vice-Director, you will be responsible for supervising operational activities and managing people in accordance with your senior management.

Key responsibilities

Team Management:

  1. Leading and supporting a team of 6 people:
    1. Fostering a positive work atmosphere where employees feel motivated, valued, and connected to the team and the organization.
    2. Promoting collaboration, trust, and cohesion among team members.
    3. Addressing any potential conflicts among team members to your senior management and/or HR Partner.
    4. Supporting employee growth through training, mentorship, coaching, and advancement opportunities.
  2. Hiring:
    1. Leading the recruitment process with your Talent Acquisition Partner.
    2. Ensuring new hires are properly introduced to the team, the organization, its culture, policies, and their specific roles.
  3. Performance Management: Setting performance expectations, providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and addressing any performance issues.
  4. Conducting under-performance process with the help of your Senior Management and HR Partner.

Operations management:

  1. Controlling daily operations:
    1. Ensuring the team’s mission is achieved and deadlines are met.
    2. Processing incoming internal requests relating to suspected money laundering cases.
    3. Writing and submitting SARs to Financial Intelligence Unit (MROS).
    4. Communicating with MROS as well as other Swiss law enforcement authorities.
  2. Executing non-ordinary operations: managing complex investigations and conducting legal clarifications.
  3. Reporting: implementing and producing periodical statistics and reports.
  4. Documentation and Procedures: properly documenting main procedures.
  5. Monitoring: ensuring good team capacity allocation.

Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance or a similar position.
  2. Previous experience in a leadership role is a strong advantage.
  3. Very good knowledge of Swiss banking and financial laws, and previous experience in financial crime / anti-money laundering.
  4. Proficiency with Excel.
  5. Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills, results-oriented, team player.
  8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  9. Excellent command of English and French.
