To strengthen our Consumer Products & Retail (CPR) team in Switzerland, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Senior Manager / Director with a strong background in consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth, managing delivery performance, and achieving financial targets. This role demands a strategic thinker with excellent account management and business development skills to enhance our client relationships and expand our market presence. The perfect fit for this role will possess a deep knowledge of digital innovation, design and transformation approaches and strong understanding of sustainable solutions in the CPR sector.

Account Management and Business Development

  • Assume executive-level accountability for growth, delivery performance, and financial metrics.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with Account Managers and the Head of Sales.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand market share specifically focused on manufacturing and CPR sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Retail & Industry Expertise

  • Swiss & Global Retail Trends – Deep understanding of market shifts, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics.
  • Omnichannel & Digital Commerce – Expertise in online-to-offline (O2O) strategies, marketplaces, and direct-to-consumer (DTC) models.
  • Retail Operations & Supply Chain – Knowledge of logistics, inventory optimization, and last-mile delivery.
  • Sustainability in Retail – ESG-driven retail models, circular economy, and responsible sourcing.

Consulting & Strategic Problem Solving

  • End-to-End Retail Transformation – Experience designing and executing large-scale retail transformation programs.
  • Data-Driven Strategy – Ability to translate data insights into business strategies, leveraging AI, predictive analytics, and customer segmentation.
  • Commercial Excellence – Pricing, promotions, loyalty programs, and revenue growth strategies.
  • Financial & ROI Modeling – Ability to build business cases and assess financial impact.

Delivery

  • Reflecting future business needs and industry evolution.
  • End-to-end delivery of services aligned with contractual requirements.
  • Develop trusted relationships with decision makers within the client organization.
  • Oversee the delivery of services for multiple clients in Switzerland.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Academic excellence: bachelor’s or master’s degree in a renowned University or University of Applied Sciences in the field of Economics.
  • Industry knowledge and consulting experience: 10+ years of experience in a management consulting environment with a focus on CPR & Manufacturing industry with a track record in digital manufacturing and supply chain. Proficient in commercial strategy with a proven record of driving profitability and growth. Demonstrates disciplined financial execution, reliable forecasting, and effective risk and opportunity management.
  • Conceptual talent: ability to understand and manage complex contracts. Proven ability to set and execute strategy, defining and iterating strategic offers value proposition. Passionate and strategic thinker leading from the front in managing a business consisting of multiple large, complex customers.
  • Communication and presentation: fluent in English and German or French.
  • Leadership skills: bright and energetic leader internally with exceptional client gravitas and a hunger for winning.
  • Digital affinity: very good MS office skills.
  • Cultural fit: high reliability, team spirit and personal fit for a leading global management consulting firm (international orientation & openness to travel, integrity).
