To complete our team in the Technical Major Event Management group, we are looking for a proactive and dedicated
Compressor Specialist 100 % (m/f/d)
Your daily contribution:
- Detecting and analyzing compressor and plant problems at site
- Advising our customers on possible problem-solving possibilities
- Executing preliminary adjustments/modification to assure at least a limited operation of the equipment
- Member or Leader of task forces to verify the root cause for failure in cooperation with customers and BC internal specialists
- Recognized as key person in compressor and compressor system know how
- Actively participating in verification, defining and implementing of improvements
- Leading or participating in small groups to monitor application specific issues on reciprocating equipment related to Reliability & Availability figures
- Conducting special technical trainings for our customers as well as Burckhardt colleagues
Your Profile:
- Ideally a technical apprenticeship followed by a mechanical engineering degree
- Several years of experience in installation and commissioning of capital goods, ideally reciprocating compressors
- Besides the mechanical know-how, basic know-how on programming and control skills are expected
- Fluency in English is a must; any other official language of Switzerland, Spanish, or Chinese is an advantage. Reaching German C1 level is expected, two years after joining Burckhardt Compression AG.

- Used to work under time pressure and under harsh conditions with demanding customer requests
- Proactive approach with a convincing appearance and diplomatic communication skills
- Skills in guiding and advising others to improve a certain situation
- Willingness to travel worldwide with 50% - 70% of working time
