Tasks
  • Lead the strategic development and continuous improvement of Crew Management Systems, effectively guiding teams through a dynamic environment and fostering constructive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Drive key IT/business initiatives in Crew Planning & Disposition to boost efficiency and innovation.
  • Oversee reliability, compliance, and performance of Crew Management Systems (manpower planning, pairing, rostering, tracking).
  • Ensure high data quality and full adherence to legal/contractual requirements.
  • Define coding standards and best practices.
  • Provide insights for union negotiations, enhancing crew productivity and quality of life.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors.
  • Ensure alignment and collaborate with SWISS IT and LH Group IT teams regarding Crew systems.

Requirements
  • Degree from a university of applied sciences or comparable expertise.
  • Proven, exemplary leadership and management skills are a must.
  • Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, including disciplinary leadership of technical or operational teams.
  • Experience with agile working methods and frameworks.
  • Expertise in airline operations and commercial business.
  • Ability to think and act cross-departmentally.
  • Strong customer focus and innovation orientation.
  • Knowledge of Crew Planning and/or Disposition is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a plus.
