Founded as Swiss-Mile, the company rebranded to RIVR in 2025 to better reflect its mission of driving the future of intelligent robotics.What You’ll Be DoingDevelop and maintain high-quality, responsive, and performant user interfaces for our teleoperation systems, including web applications and dashboardsCollaborate closely with robotics engineers, teleoperators, and product managers to translate user stories and designs into functional and engaging user experiencesImplement and maintain front-end architecture and best practices, ensuring code maintainability, scalability, and testabilityParticipate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning and design to development, testing, and deploymentDevelop and integrate real-time data visualizations and controls for robot teleoperation, including sensor data, camera feeds, and robot status informationOptimize user interfaces for performance and responsiveness in real-time teleoperation scenariosContribute to the development and improvement of our front-end development processes and toolsMentor junior developers and share your knowledge and expertise within the teamQualifications5+ years of professional experience in front-end development with a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptExperience with teleoperation systems for vehicles or robots with supervised autonomyStrong proficiency in TypeScript with a focus on performance and real-time interactions. React, and experience in Mantine being a plusExperience with communication protocols, such as gRPC, WebRTC, REST and WebSocketsExperience with Node.js and Next.jsExperience with (data) visualization libraries (e.g., Three.js, leaflet, D3.js)Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesExperience working in an Agile development environmentA strong understanding of accessibility and cross-browser compatibilityNice to HaveExperience with robotics or related fieldsExperience with full-stack developmentExcitement about staying up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and industry best practices, with a particular focus on real-time data visualization and interaction techniquesRIVR is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team that values every perspective.
