We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facility Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of all maintenance activities, ensuring our facilities remain safe, efficient, and well-maintained. You will also play a key role in space planning and optimization across departments. Join our teamHow you’ll make an impactPlan and execute all maintenance activities in alignment with budget cycles, understand and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with suppliersCoordinate with suppliers and Supply Chain Management (SCM) to define technical specifications and request proposalsEnsure the facility remains tidy, safe, and compliant through regular inspections and cleaning rounds, collaborate with HSE for safety walks and define interfaces with HSE protocolsMaintain cost awareness and control related to maintenance activities, benchmark costs and request multiple proposals to ensure cost-effective solutionsUnderstand supplier capabilities and foster strong working relationships, implement cost reduction strategies that focus on efficiency and smart solutions—not just budget cuts, monitor running costs, track invoices, and ensure financial transparencyAct as the primary interface to FM providers (cleaning, maintenance, security, etc.) to ensure service quality and alignment with organizational goalsUnderstand space requirements per BU and departmentDevelop and maintain handbooks and guidelines for reception, mail services, housekeeping, and related topicsYour backgroundStrong technical understanding of building systems and infrastructureSeveral years of experience in facility management, maintenance planning, or a related field, several years of experience in leading teamsExcellent organizational and communication skillsCost-conscious with a strategic mindset for efficiencyAbility to read and interpret technical documents and floor plansEnglish and German language is mandatoryMore about usOur flexible working practices help you optimize personal and business performance while creating an environment where all employees can develop their skills and grow.Job function Administration, Facilities & SecretarialContract RegularPublication date 2025-07-25Reference number R0100238About Hitachi EnergyHitachi Energy is a global technology leader in electrification, powering a sustainable energy future through innovative power grid technologies with digital at the core.
