It won’t always be easy, growing, but at ABB, you’ll never run alone.ResponsibilitiesMaintain recognized expertise in polymer material development and compoundation by integrating the latest technologies, tools, and methods into your work.Develop new solution approaches by pursuing ideas, forming hypotheses, and defining paths to validation.Develop and formulate new polymers, operate the twin screw extruder, and support production tests.Understand and initiate IP generation in your domain and participate in the development of the project IP strategy.QualificationsEnjoy collaboration with internal and external stakeholders such as suppliers, universities, the global ABB Material Competence Center, ABB R&D centers, and the railway market.Demonstrate advanced skills through 5 years of experience in polymer formulation and compoundation.Have solid knowledge of extrusion and injection molding processes.Be passionate about innovation and curious about new materials and collaboration.Hold an MSc in Chemistry, preferably organic chemistry or polymers.Communicate confidently in German and English.About ABB and the TeamR&D Material Development at ABB PMA is responsible for developing new polymer materials tailored to specific market and product requirements.
