We are currently recruiting, on behalf of a private bank in Geneva, a Compliance Officer - Generalist to join its compliance team. Key Responsibilities Act as a key point of contact for KYC / onboarding and periodic reviews: assess client files, verify documentary evidence, and ensure proper due diligence is consistently applied. Monitor AML risks on an ongoing basis: review name-screening hits and transactional alerts using dedicated external tools; escape and document cases where appropriate. Perform second-level controls on a variety of activities, with a particular focus on the proper documentation of client instructions and related evidences, in close coordination with Private Bankers. Review and validate account-opening documentation in line with Swiss and international requirements (CDB, AMLA/AMLO, FINMA, QI-FATCA, CRS, FINSA, etc.). Oversee the accurate opening, update, and closing of client relationships in the core banking system, ensuring data integrity throughout the client lifecycle. Supervise the proper scanning, classification, and archiving of compliance-related documents in the bank’s systems. Collaborate closely with the Head of Compliance and other team members, contributing to the continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and daily controls. Your Profile At least 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory functions within a Swiss private banking environment. Strong understanding of KYC/AML frameworks and Swiss regulatory requirements applicable to private banking. Fluent in French and English (both spoken and written) Excellent analytical skills, with a rigorous, detail-oriented approach and a high standard of documentation. Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-driven; comfortable taking initiative and working under time pressure. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset; able to work effectively within a small, international team. At ease with banking IT environments; experience with Swiss core banking and compliance tools.
