Overview

An international trading company is seeking a Compliance & KYC Officer to reinforce its control framework. The role combines KYC and due diligence with broader compliance support, ensuring counterparties and activities meet regulatory and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, review, and verify documentation for KYC, CDD and EDD checks.
  • Conduct research using databases (e.g. World Check) and open-source tools.
  • Manage KYC onboarding, renewals, and reporting for banks, subsidiaries, and counterparties.
  • Support the Compliance Manager with monitoring, reporting, and maintaining internal policies.
  • Assist with regulatory filings, audits, and training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with risk, operations, and other teams to ensure adherence to compliance processes.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar compliance/KYC role within financial services, trading or shipping sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and work across departments.
  • Fluent in English and French; additional languages an asset.
