IT OT Engineer in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (m/f/d)

Project:
For our customer, a big pharmaceutical company based in Kaiseraugst, we are looking for a highly qualified IT OT Engineer in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (m/f/d).

Background:
We are looking for an Information and Operational Technology Engineer in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing that will join an ongoing IT OT virtualization project.

The perfect candidate has a Master's degree in computer science and around 5 years of experience in IT and OT system setup and troubleshooting. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is a good and flexible team member for project work.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the planning, delivery, operations, and maintenance of IT and OT systems.
  2. Analyze system requirements to create effective IT and OT Infrastructure designs by collaborating with global IT infrastructure.
  3. Develop scripts to automate repetitive tasks improving workflow across departments.
  4. Collaborate with network and cybersecurity experts to integrate automated solutions seamlessly.
  5. Install and verify IT infrastructure for traditional and virtualization environments.
  6. Write IT and OT tests for qualification and configuration of the system.
  7. Execute thorough testing protocols to qualify and validate IT and OT system functionality.
  8. Manage change requests for IT tasks.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing IT and OT setups and provide on-site local support to manufacturing plants.
  10. Continuously evaluate and update IT and OT systems for efficiency.
  11. Document processes and system configurations following GxP and Computer System Validation requirements.
  12. Contribute to deliver project documentation deliverables.
  13. Collaborate with quality assurance specialists for ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices expectations and quality integrity.

Must Haves:

  1. Master's degree in computer science + certification in automation engineering or related technologies.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in IT and OT system setup and troubleshooting.
  3. Experience with virtualization infrastructure.
  4. Experience as an engineer in traditional control systems.
  5. Knowledge of the technological needs that determine the decisions taken at the production workshop level.
  6. Proficiency in managing system installation, qualification, and validation.
  7. Proficiency in test writings and executions.
  8. At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing IT and OT.
  9. Proficiency in working in GMP and GxP environment.
  10. Good experience with network connectivity and cybersecurity (IT and OT subnets).
  11. Several years of experience with project work.
  12. Experience with PI (Process Integration) Data Historian.
  13. Experience with shop floor automation systems.
  14. Experience with ServiceNOW.
  15. Experience with eVAL.
  16. Excellent communication skills in German and English.
  17. Able to work with cross-functional teams.
  18. Able to be simultaneously operational and project-oriented.
  19. Process-oriented and work with high precision.
  20. Good and flexible team member for project work.
  21. Able to work with tight deadlines and high expectations.
