(Senior) Manager – Data Architect – Artificial Intelligence

For this role, start dates are from October 2025.As a Data Architect in our AI & Data team, you will help senior client stakeholders make the right architectural choices and lead the design and implementation of innovative enterprise-wide solutions.ResponsibilitiesLead Enterprise Data Architecture design: modernize complex system landscapes (e.g., MDM, CRM, ERP, Cloud DWH) and design enterprise-level architecture, standards, and modernization plans with senior client stakeholders.Lead Cloud Data Platform design & implementation: build scalable, high-performance Cloud data platforms, including data modelling, data integration, transformation pipelines, DevOps, and AI-driven operations; lead onshore, near-/offshore engineering teams.Architect Integrated Solutions: design and build integrations between Cloud data platforms and AI/Gen AI platforms or between MDM/CRM systems and Cloud data platforms.Strengthen market positioning: lead our architecture footprint in the market through events, conferences, and discussions with clients, internal teams, and alliance partners.Develop internal know-how: mentor junior team members and set strategic focus for expertise building within Switzerland and with near-/offshore teams.What We Are Looking ForExperience:4+ years as a Data Architect, with leadership of teams that designed and implemented complex cloud-based ecosystems.Engineering background with hands-on data platform end-to-end implementation experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake); experience evaluating data architecture decisions and influencing stakeholders.Experience guiding data engineers on coding practices; familiarity with tooling such as SonarQube and AI coding assistants in IDEs.Experience across relational, NoSQL, and graph-based data models.Nice to have: experience packaging data platform solutions as Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).Drive and Motivation:Aspiring to become Senior Data Architect within AI & Data consulting; keen to stay on top of technology trends; able to manage multiple activities in a high-paced environment.Leadership, commercial acumen, and communication skills:Strong client-facing presence, ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, and convert opportunities into projects; strong abstract reasoning and clear communication with technical and business audiences; proven team leadership and coaching abilities.Technical Expertise:Modeling skills with DAMA, TOGAF, or equivalent certifications; conceptual, logical, and physical data models; dimensional modeling; Data Vault; normalized and denormalized schemas for analytical and operational workloads.Hands-on cloud experience on AWS, GCP, and Azure; expertise in modern data platforms (Lakehouse, Medallion, Lambda) on Snowflake and/or Databricks; end-to-end architecture design balancing performance, cost, and maintainability; delivery leadership and architecture documentation.Data Integration & ETL; design of integration layers from ERP, CRM, operational databases, APIs, and files; familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica or DBT is a plus.Metadata and event-driven architecture: expertise in metadata practices and event-driven data pipelines; ability to leverage metadata for monitoring and alerts.Enterprise architectures focusing on integrating MDM with data platforms and AI Platform components.Programming frameworks and data formats: SQL, Python, Spark; familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, knowledge graphs, Parquet, and Iceberg.Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; German and/or French is highly preferred.Your teamJoin a diverse, multinational team of 60+ professionals located in Zurich, Geneva, or Basel.
