Your Mission

As a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer you will report to the Head of Data, Integration & IS Development - part of the IT Department which counts 45 passionate employees.

You will join a project that is profoundly changing the company’s approach to data. Now that processes and platforms are in place, this is time to lead the project to the next level. Working in close collaboration with the Data Governance team, your role involves not only managing the data platform (ingestion, transformation, preparation for the DataViz) but also monitoring the performance and costs, enforcing security guidelines as well as driving various data use cases.

As a passionate individual you will stay abreast of data best practices, accompany the business on data usage, and explore new opportunities such as Machine Learning and AI.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the development and execution of data use cases.
  • Educate and guide the business stakeholders on effective data usage.
  • Collaborate with the governance team to align data management with organizational policies.
  • Monitor the data platform to ensure optimal performance and save costs.
  • Enforce the security guidelines to maintain data integrity and compliance.
  • Design and maintain robust data pipelines for both real-time and batch processing.
  • Research and implement solutions for data acquisition and utilization.
  • Advocate for data quality and accessibility throughout the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in data management.
  • Explore new usages leveraging Machine Learning and AI technologies.

Your background and competencies/skills

  • Proven track record as a Data Platform Engineer with a focus on platform monitoring and security.
  • Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing, and data pipeline development.
  • Interest in Machine Learning and AI solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python and big data technologies (Snowflake).
  • Prior experience with CICD using tools such as GitHub, Terraform, dbt.
  • Familiarity with data governance practices.
  • Team player with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Advantageous Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Source control using GitHub.
