The consultancy supports the PFP US Partnership Management team and broader markets to maximize income and non-financial value, including engagement with the Financial Services sector and the launch of the Global Emergency Alliance in 2026.In 2026, the consultant will sustain and build on momentum from 2025, engaging with the US, Canada and other markets, and provide critical support for the Global Emergency Alliance launch and related engagement strategies.Scope of workWorking with the PFP Partnership Management team, the Consultant will support strategic direction, proposition development, management, recognition opportunities, growth, and renewal of high-value partnerships. Responsibilities include coordinating and executing partnership activities, ensuring alignment with organizational and partner objectives, contributing to renewal discussions, and achieving financial and non-financial targets.The role includes strategic support for other key projects, such as the Global Corporate Emergency Alliance and refining a strategy for the financial sector. This requires collaboration with PFP units and other UNICEF divisions.Deliverables and outputs include strategic support to existing and future partnerships, documentation of progress, and action plans for each account, with a focus on meeting deadlines and reporting by December 2026.Work assignments and timelinesStrategic support to existing US partnerships and other markets to be determined.Implementation, growth, and renewal of US Fund portfolio of partnerships; progress documented; other markets determined by PFP team.For each account, develop and document a clear plan of action.Canada: strategic support to Canadian NatCom portfolio; progress documented; by December 2026.Other markets: support up to 4 markets with partnerships; develop action plans; by December 2026.UNICEF Mental Health Coalition (Pinterest and lululemon): act as focal point; opportunities identified and coordinated; by April 2026.Global Emergency Alliance: act as Partnership Development focal point; assess opportunities, build pipeline; by March 2026.Engagement strategy for the financial sector: develop and refine strategy; disseminate to markets; convene a Working Group; by February 2026.Review tools and processes to improve efficiency; document agreed mechanisms; by June 2026.Review potential US national partners for expansion; define criteria; by December 2026.Work arrangements and travelThe Consultant will be remote/home-based. Travel may be required on a per-need basis and travel costs will be reimbursed per UNICEF policy.All UNICEF travel rules apply; travel requires prior written approval. The consultant must have valid travel/medical insurance and related vaccination and documentation as required.Education and experienceEducation: An advanced university degree in Business, Marketing, International Relations, Social Sciences, or related field. Alternatively, a first-level degree with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional work in corporate partnerships, ideally with experience in programme or partnership management, or marketing.
