We are looking for an Application Manager Europe to join our CT_MTCS team in Switzerland.
In cooperation with our process engineers, you will develop technical solutions for the design of separation columns for distillation, absorption, and extraction units. You will incorporate your solutions into commercial proposals that are discussed and negotiated with our clients on-site, where you are supported by our front sales organization in the related country. The willingness to travel (10-20%) mainly in Europe is required for this job.
Your responsibilities include the process design of separation columns, the preparation of tenders in respect to all technical and commercial requirements, as well as contract negotiations with our international clients. Project teamwork with process engineers, project managers, and product specialists, acquisition of new clients, and participation in fairs and symposia will complete your job.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Technical support of Front Sales for projects in EURA combined with active travel activity in dedicated market area
- Application and know-how management for dedicated applications in EURA
- Relationship management with the technical experts at the client, acquisition of new clients
- Design of mass transfer columns according to client's specifications
- Development of technical concepts in cooperation with the clients
- Hydraulic design of all mass transfer products with Sultech / SulRate / SulSep / SulExt
- Simulation of separations related to the dedicated application field
- Price calculations and tendering for C-projects
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 3-5 years of working experience with expertise in Process Engineering and Sales
- Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Fluent English is mandatory for the role; German, French, or Spanish are an advantage
- Soft skills: Flair for Sales & Marketing and Customer Partnership, excellent communication skills with team player attitude, strong drive for sales growth and profitability
