Responsibilities

SG Zurich Branch (CIB) provides innovative financial solutions, advisory services, and capital market products serving the needs of its corporate, institutional, and private clients. Present in Switzerland since 1927, SGCIB Zurich Branch offers local and cross-border expertise providing a full range of financial services to its clients with a particular focus on securities, services to foreign funds, trade finance, and cash management services.

Mission:

GL BA/DCS - The Fixed Income department at Societe Generale aims to provide a full set of services to Institutional and Corporate clients that will support their investment or risk management targets.

GLBA/DCS: Thanks to market-leading research, engineering, trading, and e-commerce capabilities, our clients benefit from strategic insights, flow information, competitive pricing, and seamless execution across rates, credit, and emerging markets.

Credit/Rates/EM: We service our clients on the full credit, rates, and EM spectrum from Investment Grade to High Yield and on cash as well as indices, IRS, and single name CDS.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to various requests from clients related to products, onboarding process, events, and documentation (e.g., legal and commercial); analyze, investigate, research, manage, and resolve queries received from clients.
  • Act as the lead relationship owner for areas of clients/products allocated within the area of responsibility.
  • Support onboarding of new clients (e.g., KYC and legal documentation) to allow execution of transactions.
  • Handle low-touch interactions with clients regarding back-office/settlement issues.
  • Back-up senior sales and support other sales regions.
  • Monitor the entire life cycle of own client data, including the approval of access rights as well as its delegation and decommissioning from all operating and backup systems.
  • Implement data classification guidelines (provided by RCO) and document exceptions.
  • Ensure that Permanent Supervision (PS) and/or Fighting Back (FB) controls under responsibility are performed in due time and that any duties related to regulatory topics are fulfilled (e-learning completed, trade confirmation within the legal timeframe); liaise with COOs, SAFE, and/or Compliance Officers to address any gaps identified in the control framework related to the activity.

Profile Required

Studies & Experience:

  • Graduate with a Master’s degree from Business/Engineering School or University.
  • Some market knowledge and experience in the Investment Banking/Financial Services industry.
  • SocGen work experience would be considered an advantage.

Language Skills:

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • French or German would be an advantage but not essential.

Technical, Operational & Soft Skills:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications, especially Word.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical thinking and skills.
  • Adaptability.
  • Initiative.
  • Teamwork.

Internship Duration: 18 months
