Position Summary

As a Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) Specialist, you will be highly customer-oriented, serving as the primary advocate in operations for NCH’s second biggest customer. You are responsible for efficiently managing the customer replenishment process by meeting customer expectations and needs. Additionally, it involves engaging in various projects to optimize and automate planning processes, ensuring efficient order fulfillment and superior customer satisfaction.
A Day in the Life of a VMI Specialist
- Manage replenishment for the portfolio of products listed at the customer using information such as sales history, sell-out, forecast and stock holding at the customer’s distribution center and Nestlé locations.
- Drive customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service consistently focusing on stock availability and stock rotation at the customer’s warehouse.
- Optimize vehicle capacity utilization resulting in more efficient transportation, cost reduction, and improved supply chain sustainability.
- Utilization of customers' sell-out data and advanced prediction tools to enhance stock availability, minimize stockouts, and ensure prompt product availability to meet customer needs.
- Leverage data-driven insights to better anticipate customer needs, enabling proactive inventory management and minimizing supply chain disruptions.
- Provide valuable insights and qualitative information to enable Sales and DSP colleagues with enhanced data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- In depth use of VMI technical solution, including Data Maintenance.
- Ensure smooth implementation of VMI tool’s next generation (Generix - GCR).
What will make you successful
- Proficient knowledge of Supply Chain E2E Processes and Customer Service Best Practices.
- Previous experience working with customers and a strong customer-focused approach.
- Computer literate with good knowledge of SAP tools.
- Preliminary experience with a statistical tool and/or data analytics is an asset, e.g. SAS, PowerBI.
- Proven track of project management skills.
- Excellent multitasking abilities and effective communication skills.
- Fluency in German and English is a must, French is a strong asset.
