Your role

Are you a dynamic and experienced Transformation Officer with a track record in Transformation Consulting, Technology Strategy, Digital Transformation and Asset Management? Do you enjoy working at the forefront of strategic business transformation powered by Technology?

The role is pivotal in shaping the future of our AM Tech function and covers multiple dimensions including the strategy and operating model of the overall AM Tech function, our Technology target architecture and application landscape, new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and how we can apply them effectively, while shifting towards a scalable future setup. For this, we’re looking for a senior Transformation Officer, AM Tech, to:

  1. Support, challenge and enhance AM Tech Transformation activities to successfully deliver against plan.
  2. Develop and articulate a clear and compelling AM Tech target operating model aligned with our AM Business and GOTO objectives.
  3. Develop and implement a holistic performance and governance framework for our AM Tech function in close collaboration with our AM Tech CBO to continuously improve our strategic financial, change, risk, people and organization management.
  4. Detail, plan and mobilize AM Tech strategy and transformation roadmap beyond CSAM integration in close collaboration with AM Business.
  5. Define and drive strategic planning and mobilization activities for the AM target operating model and AM Tech architecture in close collaboration with the wider organization.
  6. Support holistic AI strategy for AM in close collaboration with our AM Tech CTO and AI CoE.
  7. Regularly prepare, review and syndicate materials required for various stakeholder meetings working closely with the AM Tech management.
  8. Systematically monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, and engage with vendors to identify opportunities for UBS AM growth and differentiation by Technology.
  9. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure AM Tech initiatives are effectively integrated and aligned with overall strategies.
  10. Manage and prioritize a portfolio of strategic projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  11. Foster a culture of innovation, digitalization, collaboration, and excellence, and be a culture carrier for key UBS Principles and Behaviors.

Your team

You’ll be working in the Asset Management Tech division as part of the AM Tech Transformation team. We are building a high-performing team of technology strategists that shape the future of our AM Tech organization and architecture. This is a unique opportunity to be part of defining how newest technologies will be applied in a market leading business environment and how to transform into a modern and highly effective Technology function. You will be reporting directly into the Head of AM Tech Strategy and gain the opportunity to continuously build your skillset and strategic thinking.

Your expertise

  1. 5-7+ years of experience in structuring, managing, and delivering projects within a top-tier strategy consulting firm or equivalent strategy role in the Financial Services industry.
  2. General understanding of the Asset Management industry.
  3. Proven experience in applying strategic frameworks and tools for analyzing strategic problems and developing strategies.
  4. Strong understanding of major technology trends and innovations, and their impact on requirements.
  5. Self-starter who thrives and can multitask in fast-paced and often ambiguous environments.
  6. Analytical and data-driven individual with excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Strong skills in PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
  8. Team player with an enthusiastic and proactive personality, able to work independently and apply own initiative.
  9. Strong organizational skills and ability to structure and simplify complexity.
  10. Excellent active listening and communication skills, strong senior stakeholder management experience, with easiness to build networks and partnerships at all levels.
