Vantage is looking for an ambitious and self-starting Senior Mechanical Project Manager to drive core project coordination efforts across a wide spectrum of ongoing construction projects. The role will form part of a core team of specialists to own and manage all aspects of delivery.

This is a wide-ranging role covering all stages of data center construction. Duties include data center design review and coordination, pre-construction design/contractor/subcontractor scope preparation review and execution, mechanical scope and contract review, and coordination with management teams and vendors.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage individual tasks throughout the construction process, from design to handover.
  • Involvement with vendor and contractor tender processes.
  • Oversee equipment release, delivery, deficiencies, startup, and commissioning.
  • Ensure project compliance with document controls and specifications.
  • Administer project closeout specifications and associated turnover documentation.

Duties

  • Be the first port of call for mechanical issue resolution.
  • Enforce project quality controls and safety programs.
  • Assist construction manager in preparing monthly financial updates and payment application reviews.
  • Facilitate design document reviews and capture comments.
  • Attend factory acceptance testing and provide feedback to vendors.
  • Manage design team/contractors throughout each project as required.
  • Work closely with Operations to coordinate ongoing construction activities.
  • Provide project commissioning support by onboarding the Commissioning Agent.
  • Manage and maintain internal project file storage.
  • Drive internal and external project closeout requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or similar field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in construction projects.
  • Data Center experience is highly desirable.
  • Expected travel is 10% but may grow over time.
  • German language skills are beneficial.
