Our client is a established pharmaceutical company in Basel and to support their sales team, we are looking for a Sales manager to join their team. This role is based in Basel and it is a full time permanent opportunity.

Main Responsibilities.

  • Drive sales growth for the assigned Diseases portfolio across Switzerland.
  • Manage and develop relationships with key hospitals, physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Identify patient pathways, treatment gaps, and commercial opportunities within the disease area.
  • Develop account and territory strategies based on customer needs, market dynamics, and access conditions.
  • Communicate clinical and product information clearly and effectively to healthcare professionals.
  • Build and maintain strong networks with key decision-makers and opinion leaders.
  • Work closely with Medical, Marketing, Market Access, and other internal teams to execute commercial initiatives.
  • Monitor market developments, sales performance, customer activity, and future demand.
  • Support product launches, educational events, congresses, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, activity records, forecasts, and account plans in the CRM.
  • Ensure all customer interactions and commercial activities comply with company policies, SOPs, and applicable regulations.
  • Travel regularly across Switzerland to maintain strong customer engagement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, specialty care, hospital, or healthcare sales.
  • Demonstrated success managing and growing hospital or strategic customer accounts.
  • Good understanding of the Swiss healthcare and hospital environment.
  • Native-level German with strong written and verbal communication skills; Excellent English and other Swiss languages are advantageous.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Able to understand complex scientific information and communicate it effectively to different stakeholders.
  • Proactive, independent, and commercially driven with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Strong analytic, planning, and organisational abilities.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and building partnerships internally and externally.
  • Willingness to work on the field on a regular basis.
