As part of our strategic development and alignment with ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems, we are seeking a Deputy Head of Occupational Health & Safety to support implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our HSE system.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the ISO 45001-compliant OH&S Management System
- Assist in preparation for ISO 45001 certification and surveillance audits
- Ensure compliance with Swiss labor law, SUVA regulations, and internal corporate standards
- Identify hazards, evaluate risks, and define control measures
- Establish and monitor safety objectives, KPIs, and performance indicators
- Conduct internal HSE audits and site inspections
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Develop corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Organize HSE trainings and awareness programs
- Maintain HSE documentation, records, and reporting
- Act as deputy for Head of HSE when required
Requirements
- Higher education in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental Management, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in HSE within industrial/manufacturing environment
- Practical experience with ISO 45001 implementation or maintenance
- Strong knowledge of Swiss OH&S legislation and SUVA standards
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies (JSA, HIRA, FMEA – advantage)
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
- German and/or English proficiency
