Chief of Staff, to CIAO and Head of GIA Office

Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across five continents. While we work in science, there’s no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.

We are looking for a Chief of Staff to Chief Intelligence & Analytics Officer (CIAO) and Head of Group Intelligence and Analytics (GIA).

Role Purpose

Serve as the strategic and operational partner to the Chief Intelligence & Analytics Officer and Head of CEO Office, enabling effective prioritization, governance and execution across the Intelligence & Analytics agenda and the CEO Office. • Establish and run effective governance and operating rhythms across the function, including leadership meetings, portfolio reviews and follow-up on decisions and actions.

  • Track delivery against commitments, surface risks early and drive disciplined follow-through without duplicating the accountability of initiative owners.

  • Support the Head of CEO Office in coordinating CEO Office priorities and ensuring aligned, high-quality and timely delivery across relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare agendas, briefings, presentations, talking points and follow-up materials for senior leadership, Board-related and selected external engagements, as requested.
  • Facilitate the flow of information and decisions between the CEO Office, Executive Committee stakeholders and relevant functions while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Leadership Team and Organizational Effectiveness

  • Enable an effective leadership team by clarifying priorities, strengthening collaboration and ensuring transparent decision and action tracking.
  • Support organizational planning, resource prioritization, budget coordination and talent discussions in partnership with Finance and HR.
  • Promote consistent ways of working, strong stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement across the organization.

Communications and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop clear and compelling narratives for the Intelligence & Analytics strategy, progress, impact and priorities.
  • Coordinate leadership communications and stakeholder engagement plans, partnering with Corporate Communications and other subject-matter experts.
  • Build trusted relationships across functions and business platforms and represent the office in selected forums where delegated.
