The Role

Join us as a Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Manager (DACH) - Health & Nutrition on a remote basis, and contribute to our mission to provide superior health and wellness products to our customers. In this pivotal position, you will be ensuring that all Avea products comply with the rigorous regulatory standards and laws of the DACH region and the European Union, and you will play a key role in driving our success in DACH market.

Your impact:

  • Regulatory Strategy and Compliance: Develop and implement regulatory strategies to ensure product compliance within the DACH region and the EU for the health and nutrition sectors.
  • Product Registration and Documentation: Lead the registration process for existing and new products, maintaining comprehensive documentation for regulatory submissions and compliance.
  • Ingredient Compliance: Conduct thorough reviews of product formulations to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Labeling and Marketing Compliance: Oversee product labeling and marketing materials to ensure regulatory standards are met, providing clear and compliant product information.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary contact for regulatory authorities, industry associations, and certification bodies, facilitating smooth product introductions and ongoing compliance.
  • Regulatory Intelligence: Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting the health and nutrition sectors, advising on strategic compliance approaches.
  • Document Management and Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of all regulatory documents, labels, ingredient specifications, and other compliance-related materials, ensuring easy access and up-to-date tracking of compliance status.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, marketing, and production teams to integrate regulatory considerations into product development and commercial strategies.
Requirements

You'll Fit Great With These Skills and Values

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs and compliance within the health and nutrition sectors (F&B, dietary supplement industry experience would be a big advantage), specifically within the DACH region and the EU.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DACH/EU regulatory frameworks and guidelines.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, effectively communicate regulatory requirements to non-specialists, and negotiate with regulatory authorities.
  • Fluent in German and English, with exceptional communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management abilities and rigorous organizational skills are a must.
  • Proactive personality, capable of navigating a fast-paced startup environment.
