pFMC is seeking an experienced Analytical Chemistry Team Leader to join our Global RD Technology team in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. In this role, you will lead a team of analytical scientists, establish and manage a GLP-compliant laboratory, and drive the development and validation of analytical methods that support the characterization of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical leadership, laboratory management, and cross-functional collaboration within a global innovation environment. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliLead, develop, and mentor a team of analytical scientists, ensuring high-quality delivery of analytical activities in compliance with GLP principles. /liliEstablish and manage a GLP-compliant laboratory, including laboratory workflows, SOPs, training programs, and operational excellence. /liliLead analytical method development, validation, and implementation for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. /liliPrepare for and coordinate regulatory inspections, ensuring compliance with GLP and relevant industry standards. /liliOversee laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, budgeting, and resource management. /liliPartner with cross-functional teams to support product development, technical investigations, and problem-solving activities. /liliReview and approve technical reports, protocols, and laboratory documentation. /liliDrive continuous improvement by implementing new analytical technologies and best practices while maintaining a strong safety culture. /li /ulh3Required Qualifications /h3ulliPhD in Analytical Chemistry or a related scientific field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or MSc with 8+ years of relevant experience. /liliDemonstrated experience leading and developing scientific teams. /liliStrong expertise in analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC, MS, NMR, and spectroscopy. /liliProven experience with analytical method development and validation in a regulated environment. /liliStrong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. /liliAbility to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. /liliIndustry experience in small-molecule agrochemicals and/or pharmaceuticals. /liliKnowledge of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and data analysis software. /liliExperience managing external partners, including CROs and CDMOs. /liliFluency in English is required; proficiency in German is an advantage. /li /ulpAt FMC Corporation we are guided by our purpose: Innovation for agriculture, Solutions for the planet.
