Junior IS System Administrator

MISSION

As a part of the Information Systems (IS) Operations Team, you will be contributing to the administration of the Information Systems and infrastructure, and the provision of IT support level 2 & 3 to both on-site and remote users. This is a busy role, which may involve occasional out of hours work to meet deadlines or support events. The Junior IS System Administrator must be proficient, organised and passionate about learning new technologies and services. 

Main Responsibilities

The Junior IS System Administrator will report to the Head of IS in assigned responsibilities, such as:

  • Provide end user support, manage incidents and requests
  • Contribute to the overall Systems Administration
  • Liaise and work with the other team members on daily incidents and requests management as well as on the Systems Administration
  • Install and configure various software and cloud applications
  • Contribute to and create documentation.
Required education
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems or relevant vocational qualifications (candidates without the required educational qualifications will be considered if they can demonstrate a very strong knowledge and experience)
  • A minimum of one year functional experience in a similar position
Experience
  • Working knowledge and experience in the administration and deployment of Microsoft Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft 365 and related Apps
  • Working knowledge and experience in user support, Microsoft Systems administration and security
  • Knowledge of Cloud administration and basic network principals
  • Good working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Entra, Azure and Microsoft Active Directory administration
  • Good working knowledge and experience with SharePoint administration would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Power Platform would be an advantage.

  • Fluent in French (C1) and good command in English (B1 minimum)
  • Passionate about all things IT related.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to learn new skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
  • Analytical and problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to listen to end users, understand and analyse their IT technical issues and requests and strong customer-service orientation
  • You take ownership, are respectful, responsible, and reliable.
  • Swiss or EU National or holder of a valid work permit is required.
