Junior accountant

Your role:

The junior accountant with the support of the senior financial controller will be in charge of the following duties:

  • Reconciles bank accounts by gathering and balancing information
  • Credit cards follow up and booking
  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
  • Assist Senior Financial Controller in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
  • Posting of invoices and payments into accounting system and ensure that proper accounting is done
  • VAT reporting
  • Assist with the audit request
  • Petty cash

As a member of the finance department, you’ll closely work with the senior financial controller and might also intervene on specific finance duties such as analysis, billing process and other management request.

 

Education, Skills and Qualifications:

  • CFC "Employé/e de commerce"
  • At least 2 years' experience in accounting in Switzerland
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular excel
  • Experience working on GIT is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and good team player
  • Fluent French and English, other languages are welcome
  • Valid work permit for Switzerland
