OpenShift Container Platform Engineer

ph3About the Role /h3pWe are looking for an OpenShift Container Platform Engineer to help build, operate, and continuously improve our Red Hat OpenShift environment. You will collaborate with infrastructure, development, and security teams to provide a reliable, secure, and scalable platform for containerised applications. /ppThe scope of responsibilities will be aligned with your experience and strengths, with opportunities to contribute across platform engineering, automation, and operational excellence. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliDeploy, configure, maintain, and upgrade Red Hat OpenShift clusters across relevant on-premises and cloud environments. /liliMonitor platform health, availability, capacity, and performance, and troubleshoot infrastructure and application deployment issues. /liliAutomate platform provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management practices. /liliSupport CI/CD and GitOps workflows in collaboration with application development teams. /liliImplement and maintain platform security controls, including role-based access control, network policies, secrets management, and certificate management. /liliConfigure and support integrations with enterprise networking, storage, identity, monitoring, and logging services. /liliContribute to backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures, including regular validation. /liliSupport application teams with onboarding, deployment standards, and effective use of platform capabilities. /liliMaintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and platform standards. /liliParticipate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities. /li /ulh3Required Skills and Experience /h3ulliPractical experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform or Kubernetes-based environments. /liliWorking knowledge of Linux administration, ideally with Red Hat Enterprise Linux. /liliUnderstanding of container technologies and container image management. /liliFamiliarity with networking concepts, including DNS, routing, load balancing, TLS, and network segmentation. /liliExperience with scripting or automation using tools and languages such as Bash, Python, or Ansible. /liliFamiliarity with Git and automated software delivery practices. /liliUnderstanding of infrastructure security, access management, and operational reliability. /liliA structured approach to troubleshooting and the ability to collaborate across technical teams. /liliClear communication skills in English, including the ability to produce technical documentation. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliExperience with OpenShift Operators, cluster lifecycle management, and platform upgrades. /liliFamiliarity with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Red Hat OpenShift GitOps. /liliExperience with Terraform, Ansible Automation Platform, or comparable automation tools. /liliKnowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and centralised logging platforms. /liliExposure to enterprise storage, persistent volumes, and backup and recovery solutions for Kubernetes. /liliExperience operating container platforms in public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid environments. /liliRelevant Red Hat or Kubernetes certifications are an advantage. /li /ul /p
